I’ve had a great July here in Sunny New Milton. I must have spent 20 days or so at the beach. I’ve never seen the water so warm and clear as it was in the middle of the heatwave. My bike that I cycle to the beach on recorded about 100 miles on the computer, just from cycling to the beach and back. Alas August seems to have restored a sense of UK weather normality with grey clouds and rain now.
My latest project was to install an Air Conditioning system in my home office. It was a fun thing to do, drilling 65 mm holes through the wall was a new thing for me 🙂 I have a wall at the side of my house and it’s hidden from the outside so hopefully the condenser unit will be safe there. It’s most useful for removing the humidity from the house as well, which makes indoor rowing a tad more comfortable.
I’m reading ‘Weight Training for Dummies’ It’s amazing that I go to a gym and lift weights but never really learned about it before now. It’s a good read and I really think I should be able to get some better work outs having studied this.
It seems that things are starting to turn around in the economy, I hope that this is reflected in the jobs market soon ! I am genuinely starting to run out of fun ways to distract my self during my ‘career break’ I think. I’m starting to see some better jobs around and have finally gotten around to creating a half decent CV ! It’s amazing the amount of time and effort it takes to do a worth while job application.
New Milton swimming pool is half way through being renovated now apparently, although from looking at the pictures you’d think they were converting it into a multi story car park or something. I can’t wait to see what the new space in the Gym will be like. Was thinking of suggesting that they get a versa-climber.. but then again I really doubt any one apart from me would use it 🙂
